Wedding Stationery Ordering Information
Ordering
We recommend you send invitations out to your guests eight (8) weeks before you wedding at the very latest, but ideally up to 12 weeks in advance. This will depend, in part, on how far in advance your wedding venue and / or caterer requires final numbers from you.
As we can get very busy, especially at popular times of the year for weddings (i.e. summer), Serendipity Moon likes to receive orders a minimum of eight (8) weeks before you require your stationery to ensure we have enough time to complete the order to your timescales. It may be possible to fulfil orders with shorter timescales, so if you need stationery in a hurry please contact us to discuss your requirements and we'll see what we can do.
Payment...
A 50% non-refundable deposit will be required on all wedding stationery orders placed with Serendipity Moon. Payment should be made at the time of ordering. We will send you confirmation of your order as soon as payment has been received and funds cleared. We are able to take credit and debit card payments over the phone or if you prefer, you can send us a cheque.
The balance of your order will be due eight (8) weeks later or two (2) weeks before your order is despatched, whichever is sooner. In both instances, orders will not be despatched until full, cleared funds have been received by Serendipity Moon. Save the date stationery must be paid for in full at the time of ordering, as must orders totalling £150 or less.
Proofs...
Proofs of all stationery will be sent to you before your order is fulfilled. It is your responsibility to check the accuracy of all information supplied and to notify Serendipity Moon of any changes required. Returning your proofs by the deadline stated is critical as your stationery will not be made until signatures have been received, and timescales are set to ensure your stationery is delivered on time.
You will be asked to sign and return approved proofs, and Serendipity Moon cannot accept responsibility for any errors identified after sign-off has been provided. If additional changes are possible beyond this point, they will be chargeable.
The information you supply...
It is your responsibility to ensure the correct spelling of your guests' names for place cards. The names printed will be the ones provided by you.
We ask for all information supplied for printing on wedding stationery to be typed to avoid any problems with illegible handwriting.
Delivery...
All orders are despatched via special delivery / courier and will require a signature on delivery. Postage and packaging will be calculated according to the weight and size of each individual order. We will notify you of this cost prior to delivery, and this will need to be paid by you before your stationery order is despatched.
We will do our utmost to ensure your wedding stationery reaches you in perfect condition. Any damage caused during the delivery process should be reported to Serendipity Moon within two (2) days of receipt of your order.
Serendipity Moon will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur to your stationery after you have taken receipt of it, including during the posting of individual items (i.e. when you post invitations to your guests).
Variations in handmade stationery...
Please be aware that as our wedding stationery is handmade, slight variations may occur from one piece to the next. This is merely a feature of handmade goods and will in no way affect the quality of your wedding stationery.
Cancellations...
If you cancel your order at any point, all work carried out that exceeds the 50% non-refundable deposit must be paid for.
Prices
The prices quoted for our wedding stationery items include envelopes (for invitations, save the date, R.S.V.P. and thank you cards) and printed inserts (for invitations and order of service). For order of service stationery, the price quoted is for a four-sided A5 insert. Additional pages will incur an additional cost of 25p per page (two sides)
Minimum order...
There is no minimum order quantity for our wedding stationery but if your total order amounts to £150 or less, you will be required to pay 100% of the cost on ordering. You may wish to consider ordering a few more invitations than you need to allow for mistakes when writing them out.
